Quick question.

Me and my friend are level 14, playing the Factions expansion.

We're following the main storyline...but now we're on the mainland, and we're fighting level 20 mobs...

That can't be right... Where should we go to level between 14 and 20?

Thanks!

If you're only level 14, you've missed a lot of quests on Shing Jea Island. When I played a Rit through the Factions starting area, I was level 20 (or fairly close to it) when I jumped over. Look through all the towns and see if there are any quests you missed. There are also a bunch of quests in explorable areas that are easily missable. Try going through GuildWiki and seeing if there are any quests that look unfamiliar.

Also, each level of mission completion gives an XP reward, so try and get masters on the two missions if you haven't already.

You can go with Marty's advice or you could always just use the henchmen and stay back a bit until you get up to a higher level.

Make sure you both complete the attribute point quests.

It's been a while since I leveled there but I believe you should be around level 18 when you have done everything there is to do on the "starter island".

Also if you are new to GW I might as well tell you there is no point in rushing through the game since it's very storyline driven.. especially factions.

Also mobs are pretty much always some levels over you - you and your party make up for that with bigger group size and more skills available.

You want to do all or as much of the quests listed there before Kaineng Center.

Actually, it's quite normal to be only level14 when you reach the mainland. It's also quite normal for the foes to be a higher level than you throughout the entire game. Just be sure to get yourself max armor in Kaineng Center and quest with a full group, including 2 healers (henchmen or humans)
